Project Overview

True Force Technologies is seeking to expand its product to a global market. The "Force Rack," built by True Force Technologies, features a barbell attached to load cells designed to convert mechanical isometric force applied by the user into a digital output. This output translates directly to exercises performed in the weight room, providing measurements and data that help coaches and athletes make more informed decisions using objective data retrieved from the "Force Rack."

This project will utilize the existing website, backend, firmware, and tablet application for mobile app development. The mobile application should run in the platform's native language, especially when designing the UI. It will incorporate all user and admin features of the existing tablet application and have access to the website/database, leveraging the existing Bluetooth stack to ensure a reliable hardware connection with minimal user effort. The app will meet industry standards for development and security.

Expected Deliverables

  • Mobile Application Development: Develop and publish a mobile application for the Google Play Store and Apple App Store for the True Force Technologies platform, while maintaining detailed documentation for future development.
  • Prototype for Testing: A fully working prototype application should be user-testable by the end of Semester 1.
  • User Feedback and Polishing: Semester 2 will focus on gathering user feedback, refining the application, and finalizing the publication process.

Resources

  • Codebase and Hardware: This project has access to the existing codebase and hardware.
  • Beta Testers: Beta testers will be provided by the client, with all feedback available to the development team.
  • Testing Availability: The hardware platform and tablet will be available for testing whenever needed.
  • Support: Access to previous developers and hardware engineers will be provided as needed.
  • Additional Resources: The client will supply any other necessary resources.
